On Wednesday and Thursday, all of the models that we are using for the Bournemouth show came in all day to try on the designers collections.
This ran like a normal 3D review, with individual time slots for each designer, allowing them to see what the clothing looks like on the models as well as receiving feedback from the tutors regarding their collections.
My job for the day was to coordinate the models. This included ensuring that they had the correct information for the day (time, location) and letting them know that they have to bring their passports for our records. When they arrived, I had to photocopy and show the passports all to Penny. I had to set up a changing area with a rail so that the designers could quickly get the models changed.
Unfortunatley all of the models could not make the fitting, which slowed down the process as after one review they had to get changed and styled in a new collection. This would have been made a great deal quicker if we had the correct number of models, as the models could have been dressed and ready for the next review as soon as the other models came out.
I had to make sure each designer was ready, with their line up, to dress the models.
The models had to be put in garments that fitted them well and shoes that were the correct size.
Throughout the day, I had to keep a flow of food and drink up for the models, ensuring that they had food and drink and time for breaks.
I had to photograph each collection, front and back, so that I can put together an A4 page with photos for each designer for the judges packs.
